More About Tooth Whitening
For at-home dental whitening methods, you’ll receive a whitening gel that you’ll place in a tray that’s been made in our laboratory to precisely fit your teeth. You’ll keep the tray in place for at least 30 minutes per day. The length of treatment varies depending on the amount of discoloration and the results desired.
At-home whitening will produce the most even and thorough whitening. It gives you more control. If you choose an in-office procedure, we usually suggest additional at-home treatments to maintain your results.
Am I a Candidate for Teeth Whitening?
Modern whitening agents will lighten almost everyone’s teeth. However, the technique will not eliminate all types of discolorations. If you’ve had bonding or tooth-colored fillings placed on your front teeth, the whitening agent will not modify the color of these restorations. In cases like this, you may want to investigate other options, such as porcelain veneers.
